About Us
Ernslaw Bio-Energy is a subsidiary company of the NZ forestry Company Ernslaw One Ltd. Ernslaw One Ltd has the fourth largest forest estate in New Zealand . Our forest estate ranges from Coromandel, Gisborne and Bulls in the North Island through to Naseby , Tapanui and Winton in the South. Our main species in the North Island is Pinus radiata and Douglas-fir in the South. Our plantation forests are eco-certified under the Forest Stewardship Council as sustainably managed.
Ernslaw Bio-Energy is a new company set up to service the retail, commercial and industrial sector with seasoned firewood, seasoned fuel wood chips and wood pellets. Currently we are operating in Otago but have plans to scale up in other areas to deliver a range of premium products, so give us a call if you are from further a field to discuss your requirements.
Our Philosophy
Wood is energy in balance with nature and stored in a way that can be used when required. Woodfuel has been the renewable energy choice for years in Europe and with many clean burning options now available it is truly an environmentally friendly choice. Burning wood is carbon neutral as the carbon emitted from burning the wood is absorbed by growing trees.

Seasoned Firewood
Our premium firewood is seasoned so that it is ready to burn when delivered.
We can supply Douglas fir or Pine just let us know what you require. We do free
delivery in Naseby, Ranfurly and Alexandra townships. Other areas by arrangement.

Seasoned Fuel Chips
These are produced by putting firewood logs through a special chipper that
produces chips of a uniform size that can then be burnt in a fuel chip boiler. Fuel chips are an ideal option
when you have larger areas to heat and you need a hassle free heating system. German made Heizomat boilers have
automatic ignition and ash removal and also have sensors to control the burning process to ensure high efficiencies
